Attorney at Law (Chile). LL.M. from the University of Chicago; LL.M. in Innovation, Technology and the Law from the University of Edinburgh; Diploma in Business Management from the Catholic University of Chile.
Mr. Fernández has over 15 years of experience advising multinational and national companies on corporate and contractual matters, business law, intellectual property, electronic commerce, data protection, licensing and technology transfer. He has also advised the Chilean Government in the field of Electronic Government, at the Ministry of the General Secretariat of the Presidency.
In addition to being CEO of AltLegal, he is currently the Secretary General of the Association of Chilean Technology Companies A.G. (CHILETEC). He has been a postgraduate professor at the Law School of the University of Chile and an undergraduate professor of Civil Law at Diego Portales University. He is a founding member of the Chilean Institute of Law and Technologies (ICDT).
Mr. Fernández has received various recognitions and awards for his professional and academic activity, including several scholarships for postgraduate studies and prizes given by prestigious Chilean law schools.
